Objectives and Goals
- To represent the interest of nurses
concerned with family practice.
- To promote the quality of family practice nursing
by providing mechanisms
for the exchange of knowledge and information.
- To provide up-to-date information relevant to family practice nursing to improve
the
knowledge base.
- To provide a forum for networking.
- To discuss common concerns in the area of family practice nursing.
- To act
as nurse resource for individuals or groups on issues concerning family
practice nursing.
Membership
Membership in the group is open to all nurses
with an interest in family practice/primary care nursing. A member receives newsletters and notices of meetings; is offered
opportunities to participate in educational workshops and events; and is eligible to vote for the election of the executive
and other issues as they arise.
Fee
A membership fee is due annually before
November 1st.
Affiliation
The Family Practice Nurses Group is now an Associate
Interest Group of the RNAO.
